Moto Z3 Play Leaked Render Shows Dual Rear Cameras, Glass Back Panel and Moto Mod Support

After launching the Moto G6 series and the Moto E5 series, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Motorola was expected to unveil the Moto Z3 Play late last month but it did not happen. With no clear indication of the official launch date of the device, a new render of the upcoming smartphone has appeared online to confirm some of the specifications.

To recall, we have already reported about a couple of leaks of the Moto Z3 Play earlier that revealed the specifications of the smartphone. Now the fresh render that has appeared courtesy of renowned leaker Evan Blass, shows the device from the front and back and also confirms some of the specifications that were revealed earlier.

As per the leaked render, the first thing that we noticed is the presence of a circular dual rear camera module just likes its predecessor, the Moto Z2 Play. Earlier reports had speculated that the Moto Z3 Play may arrive with a 12-megapixel and an 8-megapixel sensor on the rear panel and a 5-megapixel sensor on the front. It is also worth mentioning that this is the first time that Motorola will be introducing the dual rear camera module to its Play series. Apart from the dual cameras, the render also shows the presence of magnetic stripes on the bottom to attach Moto Mods.

The render also reveals a glass back panel but does not show any fingerprint sensor on the rear. This may lead to speculations that the smartphone may not include a fingerprint sensor at all. The Moto Z3 Play also seem to have thinner bezels compared to its predecessor.

On the front, the render shows a selfie camera and an earpiece on the top bezel. The bottom bezel consists of the Motorola brand logo and a USB port can also be seen on the bottom edge of the device. One major thing to note is the absence of the 3.5mm headphone jack on the device.

Reports indicate that the Moto Z3 Play is expected to be a mid-range device targeted for the mid-range market. As far as the pricing is concerned, the smartphone may come with a price tag of $450 to $500.
