As reported earlier, Nokia X (or Nokia X6) is expected to get unveiled in China on May 16. Instead of being named Nokia X6, the company may launch it as Nokia X instead. Likely to become the first smartphone from HMD Global to embrace the display notch, the Nokia X has been spotted on the Chinese certification website TENAA and has revealed the specifications in the process.
The listing has revealed the design aspects of the device along with some hardware specifications. In addition. It is also expected to arrive in three color variants of Blue, Black, and Silver White.
As per the listing, the Nokia X with model number TA-1099 is expected to run on stock Android 8.1.0 Oreo version out of the box. It may sport a 5.8-inch full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 X 2280 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. The phone will be powered by an unnamed octa-core SoC clocked at 1.8GHz and coupled with 3GB/4GB/6GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of inbuilt storage space. The memory can be further extended up to 128GB with the help of a micro-SD card.
Coming to the optics department, the smartphone is expected to arrive with dual rear camera setup arranged in a vertical configuration. Both the primary and the secondary rear cameras will be of 16-megapixels. Rumors have also suggested the presence of CARL ZEISS lens however the TENNA listing does not reveal any such information. The specification of the front-facing camera is still not known and the phone may support 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, and USB. The sensors in the smartphone include a proximity sensor, accelerometer, fingerprint sensor and an ambient light sensor.
In a separate leak, the Nokia X is shown to arrive with a glass and aluminum design, a display notch, a vertically arranged dual rear camera setup, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The smartphone may also sport a chin in the bottom with the standard Nokia branding. Reports also suggest that the upcoming device may be priced around CNY 1,600 (Rs 16, 900 approximately) in China.
