Samsung Galaxy Wide 3 with 5.5-inch Display and 2GB RAM Launched

Samsung has launched a new smartphone named Samsung Galaxy Wide 3 in South Korea. The new smartphone becomes the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Wide 2 that was launched exactly a year ago. The smartphone is currently available in South Korea via SK Telecom with a global launch likely very soon. To recall, the Samsung Galaxy Wide 2 was a very successful smartphone from the company and a report by SK Telecom stated that over 1.3 million units have been sold since its launch last year.

The Samsung Galaxy Wide 3 comes with a price tag of KRK 297,000 (Rs 18,800 roughly) and is available in Silver and Black color variants. As far as the specifications are concerned, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch HD display screen with a resolution of 720 X 1280 pixels. It is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core processor with 2GB of RAM.

On the camera front, the smartphone sports a single 13-megapixel camera on the rear panel with f/1.7 aperture and accompanied by an LED flash. On the front, the device features a 13-megapixel shooter with f/1.9 aperture. In spite of being a budget smartphone intended for the mid-range market, it comes with a face recognition feature to unlock the device more securely and prevent unauthorized use.

The Samsung Galaxy Wide 3 comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage that can be further upgraded with the help of a micro-SD card up to a maximum of 400GB. Connectivity options in the smartphone include dual-band Wifi 802.11 ac, 4G LTE, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port for charging and PC connectivity, Bluetooth and FM radio. It is powered by a 3300mAh battery under the hood that can power the device for the entire day on a single charge cycle. It, however, does not come with the fast charging feature.

The smartphone also boasts a powerful built-in speaker that has 1.2W of power. It runs on stock Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with Samsung Experience on top of it to enhance the user experience.
