Vodafone Launches Rs 349 Prepaid Recharge Plan with 3GB Data per Day to Challenge its Competitors

Vodafone has just launched a Rs 349 prepaid recharge plan for its customers to take on Reliance Jio and its closest rival Airtel in the country. Under the new plan, the company is offering 3GB of 4G data per day along with other benefits with a validity of 28 days. Vodafone had earlier launched a recharge pack of Rs 569 offering 3GB data on a daily basis with a longer validity of 84 days.

Under the latest plan, Vodafone is also offering unlimited local/STD and roaming calls to any network in India and 100 SMS daily along with the data offer. The new plan is actually an upgraded version of the Rs 348 prepaid plan launched earlier. Under the old plan the company 2.5GB of data per day along with unlimited calls and 100 text messages per day with a validity of 28 days. The new plan with a difference of just one rupee will provide 500MB more data now.

Talking about offers from rival operators that are close to Vodafone’s Rs 349 plan, we have Airtel and Reliance Jio offering 3GB data per day in plans of their own. Airtel offers a similar plan to Vodafone at Rs 349 that comes with 3GB of daily data along with unlimited calls to any network in the country and 100 SMS messages per day. The plan is valid for 28 days.

Reliance Jio, on the other hand, provides the aforementioned benefits at a much cheaper price. It has a plan of Rs 299 that offers 3GB of 4G data along with unlimited calling facility and 100 text messages per day. The plan is also valid for 28 days. Apart from that Jio also offers a free subscription to Jio bouquet of applications like Jio Music, Jio Cinema and more.

To recall the Rs 569 prepaid plan of Vodafone, it is very similar to the Rs 349 prepaid plan in all respects albeit a longer validity of 84 days. Vodafone also has a prepaid plan of Rs 511 that offers 2GB of data per day with a validity of 84 days.
