Airtel has started offering up to 20% discount for users opting for monthly broadband plans for a year. While it is offering 15% discount for subscribers opting for broadband plans for six months. The plans are currently available in all the circles where broadband services are available from the company. This offer has reportedly been launched to retain existing broadband customers and also lure new customers before the launch of Reliance Jio’s Jio Fiber broadband services in the country.
The broadband plans from Jio are said to offer 100Mbps connectivity speeds and free Jio TV subscription along with unlimited voice calling benefits. The plans are also said to be cheaper than other operators and may be priced much below Rs 1000 per month. Airtel broadband plans on the other hand currently offer up to 300Mbps speeds and some plans also offer a complimentary subscription to Amazon Prime.
With the latest offering, the Rs 2,199 monthly plan that offers 300Mbps connectivity speeds along with 1200GB of FUP and unlimited voice calling benefits can now be availed at just Rs 1,758 per month by users opting for one year. The plan can also be availed at Rs 1,866 per month for users opting for six months. There are multiple other plans that are also offering this discount and can be availed by the users now.
However, as the plans are differently priced in different circles, the amount to be paid by the users may be different in each circle. The discount percentage, however, remains the same for all the circles across the country.
To recall, the company had announced that it has plans to boost broadband internet connectivity in rural circles of the country. It wants to establish Broadband Experience centers across the country with the help of gram panchayats and the central government to offer up to 100Mbps speeds in these centers.
