LG Q7 and Q7+ Launched with 18:9 Display, Water Resistivity and More

LG has officially unveiled its mid-range Q series of smartphones with the Q7 and the Q7+. The smartphones were introduced last month and now it will be available in South Korea followed by a global launch soon. The company has revealed that both the devices will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 450 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz.

LG has also revealed that both the devices are military grade durable with MIL-STD 810G just like its predecessor. The devices are also IP68 certified which means they are resistant to both dust and water. Some of the other features include Portrait Mode, QLens, Hi-Fi quality audio and DTS:X 3D Surround Sound.

Coming to the specifications, the LG Q7 and the Q7+ feature a 5.5-inch full HD+ FullVision display with a resolution of 2160 X 1080 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. Both the devices are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 450 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz and Adreno 506 GPU. The devices differ in terms of RAM and internal storage options. While the LG Q7 features 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage space, the premium LG Q7+ features 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage space. Both the devices support further expansion of memory with micro-SD card up to a maximum of 2TB.

On the camera front, the LG Q7 comes with a 13-megapixel camera on the rear panel with an LED flash and PDAF. The LG Q7+, on the other hand, features a 16-megapixel camera on the rear panel with an LED flash. On the front, both the devices feature a 5-megapixel sensor with 100-degree Super Wide Angle Lens for taking clearer selfies in a group.

On the connectivity front, both the devices are equipped with 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and USB Type-C charging port. The LG Q7 and the Q7+ are both powered by a modest 3,000mAh battery that comes with Qualcomm’s Fast Charge technology.

The LG Q7 will be available in Aurora Black and Lavender Violet colors while the premium LG Q7+ will be available in Moroccan Blue color variant.
