Motorola has already started sending press invites for an event to be held in Brazil on June 6. The Moto Z3 Play which has been in the headlines for the last couple of weeks is expected to get launched at the event. Now, the smartphone has been spotted on Geekbench benchmarking site to reveal some of the specifications.
According to the Geekbench listing, the Moto Z3 Play is expected to arrive with 4GB of RAM and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC. The phone may run on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. The listing has also revealed the single core and multicore test results which are 1,299 and 1,481 respectively.
As per earlier leaked renders, the Moto Z3 Play will feature an 18:9 aspect ratio screen with very thin bezels on the sides. The smartphone, however, will not feature a display notch like the iPhone X and will also come with a dual rear camera setup with two 12-megapixel cameras. The position of the front facing fingerprint scanner has also been moved to the power/lock button on the side. The fingerprint sensor used to be embedded on the home screen of the device earlier. The device also comes with support for Moto Mods in the form of a Pogo Pin connector. Overall the device seems to be very similar to its predecessor, Moto Z2 sans a few additional features.
The specifications of the Moto Z3 Play were leaked earlier which revealed that the smartphone may feature a 6-inch full-HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 X 2160 pixels. It is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.8GHz octa-core 636 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and two internal storage variants of 32GB and 64GB.
The handset is likely to be powered by a 3,200mAh battery that will come with Motorola’s Turbo Power charger. Connectivity options may include 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C charging port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and NFC.
