HMD Global, the licensee of Nokia smartphones has been tipped to launch a new smartphone at the IFA 2018. As per sources, the company may launch a device called Nokia A1 Plus which may be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and may also arrive with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Apart from this news, another device that has been speculated to get unveiled is the Nokia 9 and it may also boast an in-display fingerprint scanner. This leads us to speculate that the Nokia A1 Plus could be nothing but the Nokia 9 itself.
As per a report by WinFuture, the Nokia A1 Plus is tipped to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Additionally, the device may feature an OLED display panel made by LG and may ruin on Android P out of the box.
As per renowned sources, HMD Global is currently facing major hiccups with the camera setup of the Nokia A1 Plus. This is why the company has canceled its plan to launch the device earlier this year. Now, the smartphone is expected to see the light of the day in August or September or at the IFA 2018 event itself.
If this device turns out to be the Nokia 9 flagship device then as per earlier reports, it may sport a massive 8GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage space that can be further upgraded with a micro-SD card. It may feature a 6.01-inch full HD+ display screen with an in-display fingerprint scanner, an 18-karat gold finish on the back panel and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistivity. Additionally, the device may be powered by a 3,900mAh battery that will support the fast charging feature. The smartphone will reportedly a triple rear camera setup with a 41-megapixel sensor, a 20-megapixel and a 9.7-megapixel sensor which will be equipped with Carl Zeiss optics. It will also feature a Xexon and LED flash providing low-light imaging capabilities.
