BSNL Revamps FTTH Broadband Plans to Offer 3TB of Data at 100Mbps

BSNL is looking to grow exponentially

While Reliance Jio is readying to launch its JioFiber FTTH broadband service in 1,100 cities across India, state-owned BSNL has decided to up the ante and become more competitive by revamping its FTTH broadband offerings. BSNL has reportedly additional benefits to its existing FTTH broadband plans without increasing the price. The plans include Rs 3,999, Rs 5,999, Rs 9,999 and Rs 16,999 which will now offer more data benefits to the subscribers.

Talking about the four FTTH broadband plans of BSNL which have been revamped, we start off with the BSNL Fibro Combo ULD 3,999 plan which now offers 500GB of data at 50Mbps download speeds for a monthly rental of Rs 3,999. Earlier the pan offered 300GB at 20Mbps download speeds. After the FUP limit of 500GB is exhausted, the browsing speed will get reduced to 4Mbps for the remaining validity period.

Coming to the second FTTH broadband plan of BSNL which is priced at Rs 5,999, it will now offer 1000GB of monthly data at 60Mbps browsing speeds. Earlier, the plan only offered 600GB at 30Mbps browsing speeds. After the FUP limit is exhausted, the browsing will get reduced to 4Mbps.

Coming to the third offer, BSNL has revised the Fibro Combo ULD 9,999 plan. It now offers 2TB of monthly data at 80Mbps browsing speeds. Earlier the plan offered 600GB at 50Mbps only. But unlike the other two plans, when the FUP limit is exhausted, the browsing speed will get reduced to 6Mbps instead of 4Mbps.

Finally, BSNL has also reportedly revised the Fibro Combo 16,999 plan. It now offers 3TB of data at 100Mbps speeds. Earlier, the plan offered only 800GB of data at 100Mbps speeds. Post FUP usage, the browsing speed will get reduced to 4Mbps.

BSNL had also revamped some of its FTTH broadband plans in the Chennai circle. The plans of Rs 999, Rs 1,699, Rs 2,999 and Rs 4,999 now offer up to 1.5TB of data to the subscribers. The company now also offers unlimited voice calling benefits with all FTTH broadband plans irrespective of the circles.
