Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Appears in Leaked Hands-on Video; May Support DeX Functionality with Dock

Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, the upcoming tablet from the South Korean tech giant has appeared in a leaked hands-on video which shows the device in full glory. Samsung is expected to launch this tablet alongside the Galaxy Note 9 on August 9 or at IFA 2018, scheduled to be held at Berlin. The Galaxy Tab S4 has been a subject of rumors since the last couple of months and now the intensity of leaks surfacing has increased.  A short leaked video has provided a good look of the tablet from both sides. Meanwhile, another video has claimed that the device may support DeX functionality in spite of not having a dock.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 was previously leaked via a render which showed the White color variant of the device in full glory. Now, the short leaked video shows the devices from the front and back in full glory. As per the video, the device will arrive in Black and Gray color variants. However, it does not show any of the design elements or shed any light on the specification details.

An AndroidGalaxys report has claimed that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 will be able to connect to a monitor using its USB Type-C port. The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 may also arrive with a similar feature onboard. Apart from that, the Galaxy Tab S4 will feature a Dual Mode which will allow you to use the device as a connect screen on DeX mode.

In addition, the S-Pen which is expected to come bundled with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 can be used as a mouse or a pen for writing or drawing. Apart from that, Linux on DeX could allow the users to run one or more distros. As per a report by WinFuture, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 will be able to use the DeX desktop UI using the USB Type-C port of the device and a DisplayPort adaptor.
