Asus Vivobook 15 with 8th Generation Intel Core CPUs Launched in India

Asus has launched a new laptop in India. Called Vivobook 15, the laptop features a slim profile with a lightweight body that is quite similar to the ultrabook range of laptops from the Chinese company. The new laptop is powered by 8th generation Intel Core processors and provides a rich and immersive multimedia experience to the users.

Talking about the specifications, the Asus Vivobook 15 features a 15.6-inch full HD display with ultra-thin bezels on the sides. The display has a refresh rate of 60Hz and comes with an 80% screen-to-body ratio. The Vivobook 15 laptop provides a great video experience courtesy of Asus’s Tru2Life Video optimization experience. The laptop also features an improved color setting that will provide an enhanced color viewing experience to the users. In addition, users can also select between four different viewing modes depending on their usage pattern.

The Asus Vivobook 15 is powered by an eighth generation Intel Core i5-8250U processor coupled with 16GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 1TB of HDD space. The package is powered by Intel’s Optane memory to provide an enhanced processing capability.

In terms of graphics, the Asus Vivo 15 is equipped with an NVIDIA MX 130 graphics card that has been embedded in the system. The laptop also features Asus’s IceCool technology that uses a smart fan control system and thin heat pipes to dissipate the heat generated and maintain the temperature well below 36 degree Celsius. Now, it remains to be seen how well the laptop performs in real life conditions.

In terms of connectivity, the Asus Vivobook 15 features a microphone in/ headphone out jack, one USB 3.0 Type-C port, one USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports, one HDMI port, and an SD card reader slot. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth and dual-band WiFi 802.11 ac

The laptop is powered by a 3-cell 42Wh battery that is equipped with Asus SuperBattery technology for faster charging and long battery life. The company claims that the battery unit can power the device up to 3 times longer than standard Li-ion batteries. The battery can also be charged very quickly with the help of Battery Health Charging technology.

The laptop is now available for purchase in India from Asus retail stores and other third-party outlets and comes with a price tag of Rs 45,990. It is available in two color options of Gold and Star Grey.
