Nokia 9 Live Images Leaked; Hints at 5 Rear Cameras, Xenon Flash and More

The much anticipated Nokia 9 smartphone was leaked via renders earlier this week which the showed the presence of as many as six cutouts in the rear panel. It also showed the presence of three Zeiss branded sensors on the rear panel along with an LED flash. However, the purpose of the other two cutouts was still unknown. Now a fresh image of the alleged Nokia 9 has appeared online and it provides a clear look of the back panel. As per the image, seven cutouts can be clearly seen arranged in a hexagonal shape. There are as many as five Zeiss branded camera sensors at the back of the device.

The image appeared in the IT Home forum’s page based in China. It shows a Nokia phone with model number TA-1094 sporting a glossy back with as many as seven cutouts on it. Out of the seven, five are for Zeiss branded camera sensors along with a Xenon flash that has been placed on the top left edge of the cutout. The purpose of the seventh cutout is still unknown. Apart from these features, the phone also does not seem to feature a fingerprint sensor on the back panel. This hint at the presence of an in-display fingerprint sensor or just the face-unlock feature as a security measure.

The Nokia 9 was expected to get launched in mid-2018 but it did not happen due to the delay in fixing some issues with the camera. The smartphone was later expected to get launched at the IFA 2018 but that did not happen either. As of now, there is no clear information about the launch date and the licensee of Nokia, HMD Global is yet to make an announcement in this regard.

As per an earlier report, the Nokia 9 is expected to be a part of Android One program of Google and may launch with Android 9 Pie out of the box. It is also expected to arrive with top-notch features and as many as five cameras on the rear panel, although the specifications are still unknown.
