Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus and Galaxy J6 Plus to Launch on September 24

Samsung was reported to be working on some new mid-range smartphones. Later it was revealed that the new smartphones were probably the Plus variants of the Samsung Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J6. While there was no information available about the expected launch date of these devices, a new report has now surfaced which sheds some light on the release date.

As per a report by MySmartPrice, the Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus and Galaxy J6 Plus are expected to launch in India on September 24. The report states that both these devices will feature an Infinity Display with very thin bezels on the sides. Apart from these features, the smartphones will also arrive with a large aspect ratio display.

The report states that the devices will feature a side mounted fingerprint sensor. This indicates that it will not arrive with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, unlike the previous models. The side-mounted sensor could be embedded on the power button of the device on the right edge.

Talking about the optic elements, in order to compete with its rivals like Xiaomi, Motorola, and Asus, Samsung may include high-resolution cameras on the rear and front panel of these devices. As per the report, the Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus will feature a dual rear camera module of 13MP + 5MP with an 8MP front-facing camera. The Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus, on the other hand, will arrive with a single rear camera of 13MP and a 5MP camera on the front for taking selfies and video calling.

Apart from that, both these models are also expected to arrive with the AR Emoji feature that was introduced by Samsung for the first time this year on the Samsung Galaxy S9 Duo. The addition of this feature will allow the company to compete with its rivals like Vivo and Oppo which have already implemented this feature.

The report further states that the Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus may feature 4GB RAM while the downgraded Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus will feature 3GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage space. We will have to wait for another week to know the exact specifications of these mid-range smartphones.
