Airtel has launched a new recharge pack in India to offer data and unlimited calling facility to its customers. However, the plan is available only in select circles in the country. Priced at Rs 181, the prepaid recharge pack offers 3GB of 2G/3G/4G data per day along with unlimited calls to any network and 100 SMS messages per day. The plan has a validity of 14 days.
As per a TelecomTalk report, this prepaid plan of Airtel offers truly unlimited local/STD and roaming call facilities to its customers without any daily or weekly FUP limits. This plan is also the cheapest prepaid plan in India to offer 3GB of data per day. The per GB cost of this plan is only Rs 4.3 and the total data benefit offered by the company stands at 42GB over a 14 day period.
To compare this plan with other operators, there seem to be no other recharge packs from any of the other operators that can match this plan. The plan closes to this plan is the one from Reliance Jio at a price of Rs 198. It offers 2GB of 4G data per day, unlimited calls and 100SMS messages per day with a validity of 28 days. The plan also comes with a complimentary subscription to Jio’s suite of apps. There is also a Rs 199 Vodafone prepaid plan that comes with a validity of 28 days and offers unlimited calling benefits along with 100SMS messages per day and 1.4GB of data daily.
Airtel had also launched a Rs 195 prepaid plan last month that offers 1.25GB of data per day along with unlimited local/STD and roaming calls with a validity of 28 days. This plan, however, does not offer any SMS benefits to the subscribers. The plan is currently limited to some telecom circles like Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and the company is yet to announce the availability in other circles.
