Diablo 3 Nintendo Switch edition may get Amiibo as per the latest reports that have surfaced. Ammibo is actually Nintendo’s toys-to-life range and a report has claimed that Diablo 3 may support three different types of Ammibos. Since BlizzCon 2018, which is the annual convention of Blizzard for games likes Overwatch, World of Warcraft and more, is just a few days away, we can expect an announcement about Diablo 3 Nintendo Switch Amiibo. Diablo 3 for Nintendo Switch is expected to be rolled out on the first day of the convention on November 2.
Some information about Diablo 3 for Nintendo Switch Amiibo have surfaced on the Diablo subreddit and all of them can be used both online and offline. The three different types of Amiibos to be available for Diablo 3 are Default/Generic Amiibo, Treasure Goblin Amiibo, and Demon Amiibo.
The three different types of Amiibos to be available in the game may allow you to gain access to new enemies and loot in the game as per the description on the Reddit page. “The first two will spawn a portal leading to some location (controlled by server so can’t be datamined) while the demon amiibo will spawn a powerful demon on the map,” the post on Diablo 3 subreddit reads.
Meanwhile, Diablo 4 or whatever the developer wants to name the successor to Diablo 3 will not be announced at BlizzCon 2018. The action role-playing series makes its Nintendo Switch debut next month in the form of Diablo 3: Eternal Collection. A Netflix series is also reportedly in works and it may be released sometime soon.
“We know what many of you are hoping for and we can only say that ‘good things come to those who wait,’ but evil things often take longer. We appreciate your patience as our teams work tirelessly to create nightmarish experiences worthy of the Lord of Terror. While we won’t be ready to announce all of our projects, we do intend to share some Diablo-related news with you at the show,” a post from Blizzard reads.
