Realme U1 Specifications Leaked; Set to launch on November 28

Realme U1, the first model in the Realme U series is all set to launch in India on November 28. Notably, the smartphone will become the first Realme device to carry a Mediatek Helio P70 SoC. The latest MediaTek chip was launched last month and the company has confirmed that the Realme U1 will become the first device to be powered by the latest chipset globally. Apart from the processor chip, online listing of the device on Amazon claims that it will feature “the most powerful selfie camera” ever.

The listing on Amazon.in site suggests that the Realme U1 will provide a premium selfie experience courtesy of its powerful front-facing camera. The smartphone will also sport a waterdrop style notch like the one found on the OnePlus 6T and some other smartphones. The presence of the powerful MediaTek Helio P70 SoC also brings a bunch of improvements like high-resolution depth engine, faster multi-frame noise reduction, anti-blooming engine, and accurate AI detection.

 To power AI camera features on the Realme U1, the MediaTek P70 supports enhancements such as beautification, scene detection, augmented reality applications and more. It also comes with improved deep learning face detection feature with over 90% accuracy. The chipset supports up to 32-megapixel single camera sensor or a dual setup comprising a 24-megapixel primary and 16-megapixel secondary sensor. It also features three independent image signal processors for reduced power consumption.

The MediaTek Helio P70 was launched last month that features an octa-core SoC based on TSMC’s 12nm FinFET process. It has four ARM Cortex-A73 cores clocked at up to 2.1GHz and four ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at up to 2.0GHz. The company claims that the P70 will provide at least a 13% performance boost compared to its predecessor and will also consume less battery power.

The Realme U1 will become the first device to be powered by MediaTek Helio P70 chipset and will arrive on November 28, as mentioned earlier. The pricing details are yet to be revealed by the company and we will probably have to wait until the official launch to get further details.
