Samsung Galaxy J4 Core with 6-inch Display and Android Go Launched

Samsung has launched a new Android Go edition based smartphone called Samsung Galaxy J4 Core. This is the second Android Go edition based device from the South Korean technology giant and is intended for the mid-range smartphone market. The smartphone features a 6-inch full HD+ display along with a 5-megapixel front facing camera accompanied by an LED flash. Notably, the smartphone becomes the successor to Samsung Galaxy J2 Core which was launched back in August as the first Android Go smartphone.

The price and availability details are yet to be announced by the company but the smartphone has been listed on the Samsung Mobile Press website with all its specification s and features. Apart from that, the online listing also shows the official renders of the handset in full glory. Samsung is expected to make an official announcement about this device in the coming days and reveal its pricing and availability details.

It may be recalled that the Samsung Galaxy J2 Core was launched back in August with a price tag of Rs 6,190. It was a budget smartphone from the company with medium grade specifications and Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) out of the box.

Coming to the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy J4 Core, the smartphone sports a 6-inch HD+ TFT LCD panel with a resolution of 720X 1480 pixels. It is powered by a quad-core SoC clocked at 1.4GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM. The device features 16GB of inbuilt storage space which is further upgradable to a maximum of 512GB via micro-SD card.

On the optics front, the smartphone sports an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture, accompanied by an LED flash. On the front, it sports a 5-megapixel sensor with a f/2.2 aperture for taking selfies and video calling.

Connectivity options in the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and micro-USB port. Sensors onboard the smartphone include an accelerometer and a proximity sensor. The smartphone is powered by a 3,300mAh battery under the hood.
