Samsung has added a new Ice Blue color variant to its flagship Galaxy S9 and galaxy S9+ lineup of devices. This variant is currently available only in China and becomes the first gradient-style color option for Samsung’s flagship smartphone range. The Ice Blue color variant is the seventh color option for the Samsung Galaxy S9 series with the others being Burgundy Red, Coral Blue, Lilac Purple, Sunrise Gold, Midnight Black, and Titanium Gray. Key specifications of the Galaxy S9 series are Snapdragon 845/ Exynos 9810 SoC, AKG tuned dual speakers, smart cameras and more.
The new Ice Blue color variant of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are already up for pre-orders exclusively in China and is available only in one storage configuration of 128GB. The Samsung Galaxy S9 model has been priced at CYN 5.499 (Rs 57,000 approximately) while the Galaxy S9+ come with a price tag of CYN 6,499 (Rs 67,400 approximately). The Samsung Galaxy S9 will start shipping in China from November 20 while the Samsung Galaxy S9+ will be available from November 26. There is no information about a global release right now but we are expecting an announcement from Samsung in this regard shortly.
To recall the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S9 sports a 5.8-inch QHD+ Curved Super AMOLED display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio while the Samsung Galaxy S9+ sports a larger 6.2-inch QHD+ Curved Super AMOLED display with the same aspect ratio. Both the devices are powered by either Snapdragon 845SoC or Samsung’s in-house Exynos 9810SoC. The Samsung Galaxy S9 features 4GB of RAM while its larger counterpart features 6GB of RAM.
On the optics front, both the devices feature a 12-megapixel sensor on the rear panel and the Samsung Galaxy S9+ features an additional 12-megapixel wide angle camera. On the front, both the devices are equipped with an 8-megapixel sensor for taking selfies and video calling. In terms of battery power, the Samsung Galaxy S9 features a 3,000mAh battery while the Galaxy S9+ features a larger 3,500mAh battery under the hood.
