Samsung Galaxy X Teased Officially: Likely to Launch in 2019

South Korean tech giant Samsung, is known to launch innovative products be it smartphones or any other electronic products. Among its lineup of flagship devices, the company had launched the Galaxy Note 9 this year and the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus at MWC 2018. Since it is going to be the 10th anniversary of the flagship Galaxy S series of devices next year, the company is expected to launch something special to commemorate the occasion.

Talking of something special, the company has already started to tease the launch of a foldable smartphone that may see the light of the day early next year. Alongside the foldable smartphone, the company is also likely to launch the Samsung Galaxy S10 or Galaxy X. As of now, it is not clearly known whether the foldable device will launch as the Samsung Galaxy S10 itself or it will bear a different name.

Talking about the foldable smartphone from Samsung, it will offer 5G network connectivity options. Just like the Samsung Galaxy S9, the upcoming smartphone will feature an Exynos or Qualcomm chipset with a 5G modem possible the Qualcomm X50 modem)for advanced 5G connectivity features.

The Samsung galaxy X is also expected to arrive with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Unlike other smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy X will have an ultrasonic sensor which would offer faster and more accurate fingerprint reading capabilities. The Galaxy X is also not expected to feature a display notch unlike other premium smartphones and will sport an almost bezel-less display. The front camera is also expected to be kept hidden under the in-display fingerprint scanner on the front panel.

Just like the other Samsung Galaxy S models, the Galaxy X is expected to sport a foldable OLED display with a resolution of QHD+ and will be protected on the top by 2.5D tempered curved glass. The Samsung Galaxy S10 or Galaxy X is also expected to become the first smartphone to feature 10GB of RAM.
