MIUI 10 Update To Push Google Assistant Trigger Shortcut

If we should go with the expert views, then Xioami is trying to come out of the shell of MIUI, the custom operating system based on Android. It gets regular updates but still many users hate using this custom layer of Xiaomi. on the other side, Google has initiated the service of Google assistant. Now MIUI is pushing the same on the Xioami device. It’s basically trying to put a gesture control shortcut so that users can easily use it from the homepage.

In the last update where MIUI 9 brought full-screen navigation gestures. Now, on the devices powered by MIUI, there’s no home button at all. So it’s obvious that there’s no Google Assistant trigger on the homepage till now. That’s why the new update is coming to push this feature on the homepage. The update will bring the system to MIUI 10.2.1

Once you have updated the device to the latest MIUI version, you can manually activate the gesture control which is far better than button control according to me. Follow the string to do it in a better way and without any confusion. Settings > Button and Gesture Shortcuts > and toggle on ‘Press and hold the Power Button for 0.5 seconds to turn on Google Assistant’.

Redmi Note 5 Pro is going to be the first device receiving the update. So, if you have a Redmi Note 5 Pro, check the update manually if it’s not hit automatically.
