Walnut Tech Unveils New Spectra X E-Board with Swappable Battery

Today, the design-driven hardware and personal vehicle startup, Walnut Tech launched the third generation of their popular electric skateboard, Spectra X.

Originally hitting the scene in 2017 on Indiegogo with the first generation of Spectra, Walnut Tech raised over $690,000. The Spectra X turned heads as it was the first smart and portable eBoard that allowed riders a hands-free experience with the built-in AI.

Spectra X is equipped with many of the same features as its predecessors, but of course, it’s now fine-tuned and amplified. The newest feature to Walnut Tech highlights is the swappable battery pack powered by Samsung, allowing riders to go an extra 7 km (as long as you have the extra battery).

Besides this feature, the Spectra boards set themselves apart with their 3 methods of control. The 3D posture control is what makes the experience hands-free. Just lean forward, back, or side-to-side to easily control the board. You can also control via remote and app. Like many electric skateboards, Spectra X is also lightweight at 7.5kg so you can take it with you wherever you go. Furthermore, the built-in GPS and continuous tracking system will give you peace of mind from theft.

Spectra X is now available for $499.
