Asus Zenfone 3 to Feature Type C USB Ports

Asus announced officially that they had started working on their next lined up smartphone- Asus Zenfone 3. Another exciting feature of Asus’s upcoming Zenfone 3 is that it will have a type C USB ports, similar to the Xiaomi’s upcoming smartphone Mi 5.

Type C USB port- Why it is being popular

Type C USB is generally being used in all high end devices because it is built in such way so that it can charge devices faster. That’s why many smartphone manufacturers are adopting type C USB port to feature faster charging option in their devices.

Zenfone 3- Many rumours to come

CEO of Asus Jonney Shih, in addition to confirming the new line of ZenFone smartphones and inclusion of the new Type-C USB ports, revealed absolutely nothing else about the next device.

Asus Zenfone 3 Release Date

Launch date of Zenfone 3 can be predicted by researching the patterns of the previous launches. Following the traditional launches of ZenFone and ZenFone 2 series, which arrived in early 2014 and the first-half of 2015 respectively, we can expect the Zenfone 3 devices to launch in H1 2016.

Type C USB Ports- All Leading Companies Adopted this

All the newly launched devices like one plus 2, Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL and Apple 6, 6S feature type C USB. Recently Apple put this in their 12 inch Macbook also. Here Asus is playing the tweaks by implementing type C USB ports in devices in lower price segment.

Asus’s last Release- Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5

On Wednesday last, Asus launched its ZenFone 2 Laser 5.5 (ZE550KL) smartphone in India which is tagged with a price of Rs. 13,999. The ZE550KL is the third line in the ZenFone 2 Laser series. Asus started taking pre orders for the Zenfone Laser 5.5 in India in August alongside pre orders for their parallel lined ZenFone Selfie and ZenFone 2 Delux. The latest device by Asus, ZenFone 2 Laser 5.5 (ZE550KL) runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop which will be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow and it has 4G connectivity with Dual SIM dual standby support.
