Galaxy On5 Out of the Box Review
Galaxy On5 comes with a typical Galaxy design. The best feature of the design is the usage of metal frames, which give the handsets a sturdy feel.Galaxy On5 comes with the signature physical Home button placed just below the screen, accompanied by the capacitive buttons for Back and Recents. A Samsung logo is also engraved above the screen with the front camera and the sensors. The rear end of the phone holds a leather-styled finish, and here you’ll notice the primary camera, LED flash, and speaker grille. The volume rocker button is placed on the left side of the device, while the power button is on the right. Galaxy On5 comes with an ergonomic design and is easier to hold and use with just one hand.
The display of Galaxy On5 is not the usual Amoled panels and the difference was vivid. The text and images produced on the Galaxy On5 was sharp, but the traditional deep blacks were missing. The viewing angles of the handset was also average.
In the limited time we spent with the Galaxy On5 , we found that the device responded quickly to touch inputs, and there was no lag while using the handset. While browsing through the menu and preloaded apps, one of the biggest notable fact we observed that there is a lot less of Samsung’s bloatware present in the phone than the other Galaxy devices. The Galaxy On5 comes with only a few preloaded apps; Samsung’s recent trend started with the Galaxy S6. Also, there are no Microsoft apps preloaded on the handsets.Galaxy On5 also features a Google folder on the home screen housing all the Google apps.
Coming to the camera aspect, the camera app of the Galaxy On5 was fast and launched within a few seconds of touching the icon. The camera interface is uncluttered. The option to select modes, capture images or video, switch between the front and rear cameras, and jump to the gallery are all located on one side of the screen while the other side flaunts the general settings of the camera.
The limited testing chances we got with the camera, we found the images taken with the Galaxy On5 in normal indoor lighting is not sharp. The front camera was also average.
