Intex, one of the leaders in Indian smartphone market has launched a new fitness band the FitRist at a price of Rs. 999. The product is exclusively available in Snapdeal, in Dark Blue and White colours. This the second fitness band from Intex, the first being the iRist smartwatch. Priced at Rs. 999, FitRist is competing against Micromax’s Yu YuFit and Xiaomi Mi Band. Both are popular and priced at the same cost. But Intex’s FitRist seems to be leading the pack since Mi Band has no display and when it comes to counting steps Yu YuFit doesn’t do well .

The Intex FitRist comes packed with Oled display, measuring 0.86-inch with a screen resolution of 96×32 pixels. The device can be powered by both Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and above as well as iOS 7 and above. Weighing around 21 grams, FitRist is loaded with features like step monitoring, distance measurement, calorie count, sleep monitoring, show notifications for calls, messages, and mails. Its also splash-proof and water-resistant.
FitRist offers up to 12 days of battery life and has a special feature that enables users to control music track on the smartphone by pairing the two devices via Bluetooth. The new fitness band also has a Remote Shutter, a feature that lets users control the mobile camera from the band itself. Plus the FitRist can be synced with your Smartphone to give the users proper fitness stats.
