LG is going to launch a new range of mid-range smartphones called the ‘X series’ at the MWC 2016. The series comprises of the LG X Cam and LG X Screen and the devises are an expert in the display and imaging department. One of the greatest draws of the Smartphones is that they’ll have Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The X Cam runs on 1.14GHz octa-cote processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The device boosts two rear facing camera, a feature one of its kind, with one ranging at 13MP and the other at 5MP. The company promises that it provides the “most advanced camera experience in a mass-tier smartphone.” With 5.2inch HD screen, the phone is powered by a 2,520mAh battery. The X Cam is definitely a mid-range smartphone, “for customers who do not want or need all the bells and whistles that come with today’s high-end phones,” LG explained.

The LG X Screen, on the other hand, is a 4.93 inches phone with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, Marshmallow and LTE support. It is powered by 2,300mAh battery and features 2GB of RAM and 16GB of memory space. It’s got a single rear camera at 13MP, and an 8MP front-facing camera. similar to that which featured in the LG flagship V10 model, the X screen has a secondary always-on display. The 1.76-inch ticker screen display sits right above the main 4.93-inch HD display and shows frequently used, apps, notifications and battery informations and other useful things.
“Everyone has a favourite smartphone feature. At LG, we think there’s room for devices that do one thing very well and that customers shouldn’t have to pay for features that they don’t want. At the end of the day, we’re committed to offering consumers more choices,” said Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.

LG is yet to reveal the price but we know for sure that the phones are going on sale from March. Also the phones will officially be unveiled on 22nd February which is the day after the LG G5 event at Mobile World Congress takes place. So far LG has informed that the X series will first launch in key markets in Europe, Asia and Latin America in March. At the MWC 2016 event that takes place from February 22-25, eager fans at see the new X series for at the LG booth in Hall 3 of Fira Gran Via.
