Lenovo May Launch Lemon 3 at Upcoming MWC 2016

The Chinese tech giant recently posted a teaser where they said they’ll be launching a new Smartphone named ‘Lemon 3’ at the upcoming MWC 2016. The company tweeted an image of the device saying, “A gorgeous new device has been engineered from scratch to deliver the #Knockout punch. Brace yourselves.” The image showed the backside of the phone has a stark resemblance to the Lenovo Lemon 3 smartphone. Metal was being poured onto the device that hints that the Smartphone will have an all-metal body.

The Lemon 3 handset was launched in China last month (January 2016) and is available in the company’s shopping site at a price of RMB 699. It is approximately Rs. 7000 in Indian currency which is quiet similar to that of  Xiaomi Redmi 3 price. It is worth mentioning that the Lenovo Lemon 3 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and supports dual-SIM dual-standby dual-4G. When it comes to display, the device IPS display 5-inch full high display (1080×1920 pixels) resolution.  It will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB RAM. Lemon 3 has an internal storage capacity of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. When it comes to connectivity,  the device supports 4G LTE networks, GPS options, Wi-Fi, USB 2.0and Bluetooth. As far as taking pictures are concerned, the rear camera is 13Mp with LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera.

The Lenovo Lemon 3 weighs 142 grams and measures 142 x 71 x 7.99 mm. It is powered by  2750mAh battery that provides up to 32 hours of talk time on 2G, 15 days of standby time on 4G, 6.2 hours of video playback and 12 hours of audio playback.

The launch at the MWC is purely speculations on our part, the company is yet to make an official statement. There also another another rumour gaining wind that the new Lemon 3 will an upgraded variant of the device. As of now, all eyes are fixed on the Lenovo official social networking account for further announcements.
