Amidst the sea of speculations, the South Korean tech conglomerate has finally revealed the release date of the next premium device of the company, Galaxy Note 6. Samsung has officially announced that the Galaxy Note 6 will hit the market shelves in August, 2016. Moreover the company reduced the price of the Galaxy Note 4 too and the phablet is now available at a price of $319.99.
Generally Galaxy Note devices are unveiled during the third quarter of a calendar year, and we are expecting the same trend to be repeated with the Galaxy Note 6 too. For your information, the Galaxy Note 5 was also released on August 13,2015 along with the Galaxy S6 Edge+.
Well, as per the specs are concerned, the upcoming Galaxy Note 6 will flaunt a 5.8-inch display with around 550ppi. Also, according to the various sources, Samsung will incorporate 4K resolution in the Galaxy Note 6. The current top model of the Note series, the Galaxy Note 5 comes with a 5.7-inch display with a pixel density of 515ppi.
Belongs to the premium phablet category, the upcoming Galaxy Note 6 is expected to include some impressive yet powerful hardware specifications. If we believe the speculations floating around the internet, the Note 6 is going to house staggering 256GB internal storage coupled with 6GB of RAM and Force Touch.
Some reliable sources working with this Note 6 project claimed that the South Korean company is going to release the smartphone in both standard and curved display version with both the variants having the same feature. Furthermore, the upcoming premium phablet will sport an all-metallic build in addition to S-Pen stylus and a fingerprint sensor.
There are rumors that Samsung will launch the Galaxy Note 6 with two different chipsets, one with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC and the other variant will be powered by the Exynos 8890 SoC. The East Asian countries will get the octa-core Exynos chipset variant and whereas the units shipped to the Western countries, will be equipped with the Snapdragon 820 chipset.
If we talk about the camera aspects, Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will feature a 12-megapixel primary camera with BRITECELL technology, which will enable the users to capture great quality pictures in extremely low-light or darker conditions. It is also being stated that the tech giant has also slashed the earlier 16-megapixels to make room for the new camera technology which is far more superior in quality than the predecessors of the same series flaunts.
Moreover, Samsung is going to reincorporate the microSD slot which has been opted out from the previous Galaxy Note 5 and it is expected that the Galaxy Note 6 will have the capability to expand the external storage capacity up to 300GB. Also just like LG G6, the company is working on a removable battery to power the upcoming Galaxy Note 6 and there are slight chances the device will come with a VR headset as an optional accessory. Not to mention that Samsung is trying to make the device a technological beast and also thinking to introduce entertainment as well as work-centric features into the Galaxy Note 6.
