Following several leaks and rumours pouring in for months, Xiaomi CEO has finally unveiled the much-awaited successor of it’s very successful Mi Band – the Mi Band 2. While the CEO didn’t reveal too much in terms of specification but according to a report by Android Headlines, the launch of the smartwatch has been delayed to early June.
Xiaomi Mi Band was the company’s first fitness tracking smartwatch. Now the predecessor is rumoured to feature reduced dependency on smartphone which means the device is going to work largely independent. So that users don’t have to carry their smartphones while jogging or while doing any other outdoor activity.
For those who are not aware, the Mi Band 2 was expected to launch in May. Unfortunately as of now, the company hasn’t revealed much in terms of specifications of Mi Band 2. Expect for the fact that the smartphone will feature a button on it’s front.
It’s worth noting that Xiaomi recently launched iHealth box and 10,000mAh Mi Power Bank. The iHealth box is an excellent device that lets you measuer health-related metrics like heart rate, blood pressure among other things. The box features a 4.3-inch display and even connects to Wi-Fi. As for the Power Bank, the device is extremely thin measuring only 12.6mm thick. The power bank comes with a USB Type-C port that can be used to charge both the phone as well as the battery itself and a standard USB port along with LED power level indicator as well as a power button.

As of now Xiaomi is largely focus on the launch of the much-awaited Mi Max phablet. The device came out last on Tuesday (10th May). And before the launch Xiaomi CEO Jun Lei has shared pictures of the phablet via the Chinese social media site called Weibo. They are available in three colour options – Pink, Blue and Gold. The device features a a 6.44-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display and is powered by hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor that comes coupled with a 32GB internal storage. It’s available in two variants – one would have 2GB of RAM that comes coupled with 16GB inbuilt storage and 3GB of RAM. The device has got a 5-megapixel front snapper and a 16-megapixel rear camera and supports connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Glonass. A 4000mAh battery completes the package.
