HTC to Release One A9 Smartphone Ahead of IFA 2016

HTC One A9: According to rumours, Taiwanese manufacturer HTC is all set to launch One A9 Smartphone before the IFA 2016. The report was tipped off by Venture Beat’s Evan Blass.

According to Venture Beat, HTC is said to be planning the One A9s reveal on the day before IFA kicks off, September 1. One A9 is going to look similar to Apple iPhone 6. Critics, as well as consumers around the world, are pointing out at how the devices look exactly the same, barring some minor difference. If rumours are to be believed, then the device will not just have a similar hardware design but also the naming convention followed by latest smartphones in Apple’s iPhone series.

HTC One A9s will sport fingerprint sensor on the home button and metal unibody like its predecessor. The handset is also expected to come in White, Black, Gold and Bluish Silver colour options. Other speculated features include 13-megapixels rear camera, 14-megapixels front snapper, and re-positioned camera lenses, flash and sensors.

Back in December 2015, HTC One A9 was launched, and it featured a 5.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels at a PPI of 441 pixels per inch. It is powered by 1.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor. The phone packs 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 2000GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the handset sports a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 4-Ultrapixel front shooter for selfies. The HTC One A9 measures 145.80 x 70.80 x 7.30 and weighs 143.00 grams. It runs Android 6.0 and is powered by a 2150mAh non-removable battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, FM, 4G with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope. One A9 su[pports dual Nano SIM.
