FIFA 17 releases on September 29 for players across the world (September 27 for North America). Now ahead of the game’s much-awaited launch, the developers have released a demo that is downloadable across platforms, giving fans a chance to get a taste of what is to come a little early.
The demo, which went live for players on September 13, will let fans play out a portion of FIFA 17’s new story-based feature called the “Journey Mode”, which will be powered by the Frostbite game engine. The demo will allow players to play as Alex Hunter, the 17-year old central character of the mode, for Manchester United.
The Kick Off mode will also be part of the game’s demo, which will feature 12 of the most renowned clubs from around the world. This mode will let users play skill games as well as matches. There are four new skill games for the single player level and three for the multiplayer mode. A total of three stadiums has been featured in the demo, which are CenturyLink, Stamford Bridge, and Suita City Football Stadium. The demo will also have different time and weather situations. However, some of the models powered by Frostbite game engine may not be playable on the previous generation consoles.

Players have already stated their satisfaction with the demo. Now all they are looking forward to is getting their hands on the finished product. Some of the top ranked players in FIFA 17 are Christiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Neymar, Luis Suarez, and Manuel Neuer. FIFA 17 eill also be the first game in the series to feature Japanese leagues.
