Lenovo-Acquired Motorola is all set to launch their latest device, company’s first ever modular smartphone, inspired by the now-defunct Project Ara by Google, the Moto Z at a launch event on the 4th of October later this year. The Moto Z which has been a pretty hyped about device had no information regarding its specifications just a few days back but specifications of the device have finally surfaced and it will soon be available to consumers in India as well as in International markets post its launch in October. What sets the Moto Z apart is the 16-pin magnetic connector at the back that supports snap-on modules called ‘Moto Mods.’ Motorola has tied up with other third party brands to develop these modules or enhancements. There is a battery pack, a speaker from JBL, a projector from Pico and a high-end camera from Hasselblad. Though there is no additional information on the availability date of the mods, we are hopeful that they will be launched with the device itself at Lenovo’s launch event.
