iPhone 7 & 7S Plus Expected To Sport the Latest A11 Chipset from Apple

2017 will mark the ten year anniversary of Apple’s hugely popular iPhone lineup of premium smartphones and the year ending has already pegged to bring to us Apple’s launch event which will witness the unveiling of the hugely talked about iPhone 8. On September 7, a couple of months back, the latest flagship device from the tech giants, the iPhone 7 and its larger variant iPhone 7 Plus was released. And boy did the device get some amount of recognition and market popularity in spite of its hefty price tag.

Apple’s iPhone 7S and 7S Plus are slated to bear an almost similar outlook to the iPhone 7 but will pack in a stronger punch under the hood with an A11 chipset.

However, there is another question in the minds of a number of Apple enthusiasts which is regarding the iPhone 7 S which is slated to be the most premium variant in the iPhone 7 line-up. There have been substantial rumours surrounding this reported upcoming device from Apple where some say that the device will see a mid-2017 while other reports claim that the launch event in late 2017 will unveil the iPhone 7S shifting the iPhone 8’s release to 2018.

Noted industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities has posted an interesting angle for ‘the other handsets’ that will come out of Cupertino in 2017. By ‘other’ there is no doubt that the analyst is referring to the Premium S version of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. As per reports, the new would continue to used an LCD display, retain the two screen sizes of 4.7 and 5.5 inches, and would be separate from the OLED using iPhone 8. The handsets would be expected to use the latest A11 system chipset and potentially feature Apple’s wireless charging system.

Ther has been no confirmed news from Apple yet regarding these rumoured handsets with many tech enthusiasts assuming that Apple CEO Tim Cook has decided to skip the ‘S’ branded variant for the latest smartphone and is reportedly concentrating on the “Revolutionary” iPhone 8 which is also pegged to be featured in a “10th Anniversary Special” super premium variant.

Will the iPhone 7S and 7S Plus actually resurface or will the iPhone 8 be the next in line on Apple’s list of premium flagship devices. We will have to wait and see.
