Resident Evil 7 : Biohazard is all set to feature Cross-Save feature on Xbox One and PC

Resident Evil 7, Capcom’s upcoming refresh of their long-running survival horror series, will support cross-save across Xbox One and PC, Capcom confirmed this week. After word came from Japanese gaming magazine Dengeki that cross-save would be part of Resident Evil 7‘s feature set between the Windows Store and Xbox One versions of the game, IGN was able to confirm with Capcom that that is indeed the case.

RESIDENT EVIL 7: Biohazard is slated to feature cross-save support on Xbox One and PC.

The seventh edition of the popular survival-horror game franchise is shaping up to be one of the most terrifying games of the generation and now, the game’s cross-save feature has been panned out which will allow players to save the game on Xbox One and continue playing on PC (and vice versa). Though cross-save support between the two platforms is more convenient than before, it isn’t clear if Resident Evil 7 will be a part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program. Currently featuring 13 games, of which three are already available, Xbox Play Anywhere gives digital purchasers copies of both the Xbox One and PC versions of games, allowing them to play them on the go or at home without losing progress.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is set approximately 4 years after the events of Resident Evil 6 in the fictional city of Dulvey, Louisiana in the Southern United States. It features a new protagonist named Ethan who is a civilian that lacks much of the combat skills that most of the main characters of the previous Resident Evil titles displayed. Ethan is on the search for his missing wife, which leads him to a derelict plantation mansion, home of the strange Baker family.  As with previous Resident Evil games, the player will have access to a variety of weapons including pistols, shotguns, flamethrowers, explosives and chainsaws in the fight against enemies described as mutant creatures.

Resident Evil 7 : Biohazard is scheduled to come out for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on January 24, 2017.
