Monitor display maker AOC has released a new Full HD 27” PLS Monitor which has come equipped a Qi Wireless Charging Base so you can charge your phone by putting it on the monitor base.
The new P2779VC features a 27-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution PLS panel and is targeted at home users mainly
even though gaming wouldn’t be a very bad idea either though 5ms grey-to-grey response time and a 60 Hz native refresh rate will not please hardcore gamers too much.
The display’s PLS panel gives 178/178 degree viewing angle while maintaining consistent image quality and colours from all viewing positions. The PLS panel, is basically Samsung’s wide-viewing angle technology, similar to IPS, has true 8-bit colour depth which improves colour accuracy and features a matte anti-glare coating that won’t leave fingerprints or smudges. The company claims that PLS is perfect for graphic designing, video editing and photo retouching.
Developed by the Wireless Power Consortium, Qi Wireless Charging is an interface standard for inductive electrical power transfer that wirelessly charges a compatible device’s battery using induction transfer. The P2779VC monitor’s Qi Wireless Charging Base removes the hassle of cables and allows you to keep your device in view while charging and using the display, without having to worry about finding an outlet nearby. The compatible devices for this charging base is compatible devices include Samsung Galaxy S5-6/Edge, Google Nexus 4-7, Motorola Droid Maxx, and Nokia Lumia 920-1520, among others.
The new AOC P2779VC will launch in the US this month via Amazon, Best Buy, and Newegg at a price of $250.
