Honor, Huawei‘s sub-brand is launching a new handset in India called the Honor Bee 2. It si a budget smartphone and is basically an upgrade of the original Honor Bee smartphone that was launched quite some time ago, back in 2015.
During the launch, Vice President Sales, Huawei India-Consumer Business Group, P Sanjeev, said: “We are very excited to introduce the Honor Bee 2 in India through our vast offline channel and are confident that it will be a strong performer in the lower mid-level segment.” Sanjeev further added, “The Honor Bee 2 offers best in class user experience, beautiful design and a great mix of hardware and software will be an exceptional choice for consumers in the mid segment market in India.”
Priced at Rs. 7,499, the Honor Bee 2 is a budget smartphone that offers three colors options – Black, White, and Gold. The phone offers 4.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 pixels by 854 pixels and runs Android 5.1, reports Gizbot.
It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microDS card. As far as optics is concerned the smartphone sports 5-megapixel primary camera and 2-megapixel selfie shooter. The dual SIM handset measures 134.10 x 66.70 x 9.90 and connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM, 3G, and 4G. The phone offers sensors like Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, and Gyroscope.
To recall, the Huawei Honor Bee was launched in 2015. With a 4.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 pixels by 854 pixels at a starting price of Rs. 4,499. The Honor Bee 2, on the other hand, was launched for Rs. 7,499. It was powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC7731 processor and run Android 4.4. backed by a 1730mAh non-removable battery, the handset offers 1GB of RAM and 8Gb internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB using a micorSd card.
