The official pre-registration for LG G6 has kick-started in India after the global rollout of the flagship device started earlier this month. Although the launch date is yet not known, but users can go to the sign-up page on LG India’s official website which has now gone live. Users can then “register their interest” for the device. Although, it should be noted that users can only pre-register the device, not pre-order it.
LG G6 was unveiled earlier this year in February at the Mobile World Congress (MWC). The model is the successor to G5, which was heavily panned by critics and fans alike. LG G6 will sport a 5.7-inch “Full Vision” QHD display, having an aspect ratio of 18:9. It has been specifially designed for multi-tasking. The model also offers HDR 10 and Dolby Vision support.
The model will have a glass and metal back and it measures 7.9mm in thickness and weighs 163gm. Powered by Snapdragon 821 processor, LG G6 also features a fingerprint scanner and comes with a 3,300mAh battery which provides a support for Quick Charge 3.0. Having water and dust resistance, the device also has a proprietary heat dissipation technology.
Coming to the camera, it will feature a dual-rear camera, which was seen in its predecessor too. The difference, although, lies in the fact that this time they are both 13megapixels, as per NDTV Gadgets 360 Degrees. Running on Android 7.0 Nougat, it will feature 4GB RAM. It will come in two storage variants – 32GB and 64GB. Another distinctive feature of the device is that the storage can be expanded up to a humongous 2TB via microSD card.
The phone is being billed as “the first smartphone with Dolby Vision”. As far as durability is concerned, the device has passed the MIL-STD 810G Military standard certification.
It will be made available in Ice Platinum, Astro Black, and Mystic White color as of now.
