LeEco Le X920 with Snapdragon 820 and 4GB RAM Appears in Leaked Images

Chinese smartphone manufacturers LeEco have been rumored to be working on a brand new upcoming phablet for while now- a device that has appeared online a number of times ahead of its official announcement. The upcoming smartphone, bearing the model number X920, is considered by many to be the successor to last year’s LeEco Le Max 2, which bore the alternative identity of X820. Spottings of the LeEco Le X920 are becoming more frequent with time, and someone has just leaked a number of new images, displaying the upcoming smartphone’s hardware specs and AnTuTu score. on Weibo.

First off, if you take a look at the About Phone picture, you will find that many of the specs match those that had come to the fore with the earlier Geekbench listing. The image shows that the device will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box, and be powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM.

Moving on to the images of the device itself, it looks pretty generic and similar to the Le Max 2. From the front, the LeEco Le X920 seems to be housing a large display, and while the bezels at the top and the bottom are wide, there are no button to be seen below the display. Which leads us to assume that there will be capacitive buttons instead.

At the back, the LeEco X920 looks fairly simple with a vertically placed camera module (the only design difference that we can see) and a fingerprint scanner located just below it. The LeEco branding can be seen too. From the other screenshots, it can be seen that the model has scored a total of 120,799.

However. it leads us to wonder why there are not enough internal upgrades if the X920 is indeed supposed to be the direct follow-up to the Le Max 2. The latter, which was released during the first half of 2016, also came with the same Snapdragon 820 processor and ran Android Marshmallow. It also came in a 4GB RAM version. This might indcate that the X920 will not be a full upgrade over the Le Max 2, and instead be another variant of last year’s device itself.
