Xiaomi Redmi 4 With 4G VoLTE Support To Go On Sale Today

Privately owned Chinese electronics company Xiaomi‘s latest flagship Xiaomi Redmi 4 will go on sale today from 12 PM IST and it will be available via its official website Mi.com and Amazon India. The dual-SIM (Micro-Nano) device runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and provides support for 4G VoLTE.

Xiaomi Redmi 4 which was launched in May 2017, comes in three storage variants.

With a 5-inch HD (720*1280 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display, Xiaomi Redmi 4 features an all-metal body and a fingerprint sensor. A 4,100 mAh battery backs it. Weighing 150gm, the device measures 139.2*69.6*8.6mm.

Coming to its camera, the device comes with a 13megapixel primary camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. Besides, it also has a 5megapixel secondary camera with f/2.2 aperture.

The device, which was launched in May 2017, comes in three storage variants. The first is a 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage version, priced at Rs. 6,999. The second is a 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage variant, priced at Rs. 8,999, while the third variant is a 3GB RAM and 32GB variant one, which is priced at Rs, 10,999. However, the third version is not available in India until the end of June. The internal storage can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD.

Its connectivity choices include WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.1, Micro-USB with OTG and infrared sensor, which enables the device to be used as a universal remote control, as per NDTV Gadget 360 Degrees. It also sports a number of other features, which includes Dual Apps, which allows users to utilize two various WhatsApp accounts at the same time; Second Space, which allows multi-account profiles; and App Lock, which allows password and fingerprint locks for apps. Special beta preview of Android nougat-based MIUI will be available for users out-of-the-box.

Amazon India is also offering various launch offers on the device, such as discounts on Mi Cases, where the price has been put down from Rs. 499 to Rs. 349; a 45GB free data offer from Vodafone; Rs.200 credit on Kindle app, a 12-month Hungama Music and 3-month Hungama Play subscription. Buyers have to purchase a 1GB or higher 4G data pack, for which they will get 9GB of complimentary data for up to five recharge or monthly rentals. Meanwhile, on Mi.com, the company is offering 10 percent Super Cash on every Mi Products with MobiKwik, and an additional 5 percent cashback on EMI with SBI Credit Card
