American multinational telecommunications giant Motorola has listed a smaller version of its last year’s flagship device Moto M.The new variant bears the same model number (XT1662) as that of its original counterpart.
The device, which was listed on GFXBench will feature a 4.6-inch display with a resolution of 1920*1080 pixels. Moreover, it will also have five finger gesture support. It will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, although it is being believed that this will be just for the testing period and the final release will be done with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat.
It has also been revealed from the list that the new Moto M will be launched in two variants – the first will be powered by a MediaTek MT6755T SoC, and the other will be powered by a MediaTek MT6755 chipset. Both of them will be of 2.1GHz octa-core processor. The storage capacity for both the variants will be same – 32GB of internal memory and 4GB of RAM. As per the camera, we can expect a 16-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel secondary camera.
Coming to the price of the product, it is being speculated that the new Moto M will be priced at somewhere around Rs. 12K for the Indian market. This is being based on the price of the original Moto M, which was priced at Rs. 15,999 for the 3GB RAM +32GB internal memory variant.
The other features mentioned in the list are an accelerometer, pedometer, proximity, gyroscope, GPS, compass, WiFi, and Bluetooth.
