New Xiaomi X1 With Snapdragon 660 is on the Horizon

Chinese electronics company Xiaomi is bringing a whole new series of smartphones called Xiaomi X series and the details of the first device from the series – Xiaomi X1 – are now known. Recent reports have also revealed that the multi-million dollar company has decided to scrap the launch of Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2, as its predecessor Redmi Pro did not generate much profit.

Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 is no longer coming. The speculations have been leaked by China-based microblogging service Weibo.

Xiaomi X1 is speculated to come with a 5.5-icnh Pegasus display with a resolution of 2160*1080 pixels. It will have a full-screen design as well. Powered by Snapdragon 660 chipset, the other features of the flagship device include a front-facing fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Speaking of its storage facility, it will come in two variants. The first variant will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory while the second variant will have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. The speculations have been leaked by China-based microblogging service Weibo. It also suggests that the device will feature either IMX386 or IMX362 dual camera setup.

Coming to its price, it has been reported by Gizbot that the lower variant will be priced at 1,999 Yuan or 2,299 Yuan and the high-end variant will be priced at 2,499 Yuan or 2,799 Yuan. Also, it is being speculated that the unveiling of the device will be done this month. Whether the decision of the company to introduce Xiaomi X1 instead of Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 brings profit or not, now remains to be seen.

The news comes barely two days after Xiaomi launched its 500th service center in India. It is the largest smartphone brand in the country. The company has also recently launched the black variant of their Mi Max 2 smartphone.
