The pre-booking for Finnish multinational communications and information technology company Nokia‘s offline exclusive device Nokia 5 will start from tomorrow, July 7 in India. Priced at Rs. 12,899, it is one of the three Android-based smartphones announced by HMD Global last month; the other two being Nokia 3 and Nokia 6.
Since the device is an offline product only, in order to pre-order it, you have to go to the nearest dealer who is accepting the pre-orders. Tomorrow’s date should not be confused with the sale of the product, it is meant only for pre-ordering the product. However, going by the trend that we saw with Nokia 3, we might see Nokia 5 be made available online. This is based on the fact that Nokia 3, which was initially an offline product, was later made available online by electronic megastore Croma, as per The Indian Express.
As far as the features and price of the product are concerned, it sits right in the middle of Nokia 3 and Nokia 6.
Nokia 5 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It is backed by a humongous 3,000mAh battery. It will sport a 13-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel secondary camera and will have a 5.2-inch HD display and a unibody design. Its connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, and WiFi. Besides, it will also have support for dual-SIM.
It is available in four color variants- Silver, Matte Black, Copper and Tempered Blue. It is also worth mentioning that HMD Global has entered into a partnership deal with Vodafone India through which Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 users will get free 3G and 4G data.
