Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Specs and Features

The new Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has on board an all metal unibody design, which is a welcome move given the price tag of Rs 16,999. The device will have better security thanks to the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Since it is a phablet, the Mi Max 2 boasts of a 6.44-inch FHD 1080p display. At the core of its performance is the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, a very powerful and highly energy efficient chipset. Also, the users will be guaranteed better and lag free performance thanks to the 4GB RAM and 64GB of native or internal storage capacity. Since there is a high-end variant in the Chinese market, there is a chance that it might make its way to India as well. However, there is no word on that front as of now.

The new Xiaomi Mi Max 2 runs on the MIUI 8 which runs on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat right out of the box. The device has excellent photography and optics features, as evidenced by the imaging front. On board is a 12MP rear and primary camera which has a Sony IMX386 sensor, with PDAF or Phase Detection Autofocus, and dual LED flash. At the front, there is a 5MP front snapper. The device has a USB Type-C port and is juiced by a 5300mAh battery which will also support Quick Charge 3.0.
