Xiaomi has already unveiled its Mi Max 2 on May 25 in China. Reportedly, we have come to know that the Chinese electronic manufacturer is gearing up to release a new smartphone in India next week. If at all we go by the teasers, it could be the newest Mi Max 2 which was launched with the company’s tagline “big is back”.
Earlier, Mi Max 2, the direct successor of Mi Max, was anticipated to get launched in India on July 26. However, Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi India Head, has utilized the social media brilliantly as the direct source to confirm the launch date of their flagship smartphone, which is 18th of July, i.e. next week.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Display
In the design language, Mi Max 2 is quite identical when compared to its predecessor sporting a metal unibody alongside a fingerprint sensor at the back panel. Also with a similar screen size, Xiaomi Mi Max 2 uncovers a display size at 6.44-inch along with a full-HD screen (i.e. 1080 x 1920 pixels).
What is distinguishable is Mi Max 2’s internal specs, backed by 5,300 mAh battery, bigger than its predecessor, with a longevity of at least two days. It also comes with a Quick Charge 3.0 charging technology, powering up battery up to 68% in just 60 minutes. Mi Max 2 is unveiled in two storage variants, powered by octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC, clocked at 2GHz and coupled with a RAM of 4 GB. According to the reports, Xiaomi Mi Max 2 runs on the latest Android Nougat alongside wrapped under company’s very own MIUI 8 OS. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Camera
With the imaging perspective, Mi Max 2 features a rear camera of 12 MP (which includes a Sony IMX386 sensor) with an aperture of f/2.2 along with a dual-LED flash (which the tech giant claims to be similar to Mi 6). The flagship smartphone comes with a phase detection autofocus(PDAF) technology included in the rear camera. The handset also flaunts a 5 MP secondary camera with an aperture of f/2.0. The optic features also include 1.25 µm pixel size, 1/2.9″ sensor size as well as geo-tagging and other technologies.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Price
As per the pricing is concerned, we don’t really know how much the beast is supposed to cost. The 128 GB Chinese variant of this handset comes with a price tag of CNY 1,999 (approx. Rs. 18,900). On the other hand, the previous iteration, Mi Max is priced at Rs. 14,999 and Rs. 19,999 price for two different variants.
