Xolo Smartphones have shown off a new low-budget smartphone for prospective customers in India. Called the Xolo Era 3, this is the successor to the Xolo Era 2 launched last year in October. The new entry in Xolo’s Era series was recently spotted on Geekbench and some specs were highlighted. Among them is the fact that the new device runs on Android Nougat and carries 1GB of RAM.
Xolo Era 3 Specs and Features
The Xolo Era 3 has received 565 points on the single-core test with 1536 points in the multi-core test. Besides, the Geekbench listing also points out that the Xolo Era 3 has 1GB RAM and is powered by the MediaTek MT6767 quad-core processor clocked at 1.40 GHz. This will ensure that the phone has a smooth performance. The specs also reveal that this will be an entry level device.
Not much else is known at the moment about the Xolo Era 3. The smartphone will, however, be an improvement over last year’s Xolo Era 2. To sum, the Era 2 had a decent 5-inch display with a 2350 mAh battery. As the Era 2 ran on the dated Android 6.0 Marshmallow platform, the new Xolo Era 3 will be a marked improvement. Also, the new processor will be more powerful compared to the predecessor’s 1.3GHz quad-core processor. However, the RAM remains the same at 1GB DDR3 RAM. The Era 2 had 8GB of inbuilt or native storage expandable by a MicroSD card to up to 32GB.
There are no details on the optics front of the new Xolo Era 3 either. However, since the Era 2 came with 5 MP cameras on both ends, the new device will likely get an improvement. The Era 2 had decent imaging features as well. The list included a f/2.0 aperture, 4P Largan Precision lens, as well as LED Flash with Big Pixel technology. The last feature ensures that even in low light conditions, the photos come out looking great. There was also a Smart Camera feature on board which offered special apps and other photography modes like time-lapse capture and slow motion recording. Overall, the Xolo Era 3 is expected to also have a packed imaging facility just like its predecessor.
