Sony’s latest smartphone, the new Sony Xperia XZ1, has been making all the right noises lately. Now, we have learned that the official renders of the device have leaked, thereby spilling the beans as far as the specs, features, and design philosophy are concerned. We have earlier informed you of how the device was supposed to sport unusually thick bezels, despite current phone-designing fashion.
Also, we had brought you the news that the new Xperia XZ1 would have a significantly large rear camera module. We also know that Sony is expected to launch multiple devices on August 31, at a pre-IFA launch event. These devices are the Sony Xperia XZ1, the Xperia XZ1 Compact besides the Xperia X1 smartphones. The IFA is one of the biggest and oldest technological fairs in the world and will be held from September 1 to 6.
Noted tipster Ronald Quandt tweeted the latest leaked renders. Quandt says that the new Sony Xperia XZ1 will retail for a price of around 599 GBP, a sum roughly equivalent to USD 767/Rs 49,265. The Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact is set to set you back by 499 GBP.
So, what do we know about the new Sony handset? Well, the new Xperia XZ1, model number G8341, will have a 5.1-inch display with full HD resolution with 1920×1080 pixels. This resolution will ensure sharper, crisper, and brighter display. Under the hood is the quality Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor clocked at 2.4GHz for 4 cores with the remaining 4 clocked at 1.9GHz. Expect the SD 835 processor to work in tandem with the Adreno 540 GPU.
We believe that the Sony Xperia XZ1 will have 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal or native storage. On the rear is the 19-megapixel autofocus primary camera armed with an LED flash. Out front is a handsome 13-megapixel selfie/video calling camera. We believe that the new handset will run either on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat or the latest Android Oreo operating system.
