The Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi, is one of the most promising brands in delivering some high-end smartphones in the recent past. Recently, Xiaomi took to Twitter and announced the launch date of its upcoming smartphone to arrive a day before the closure of IFA Berlin. Interestingly, the news gives us a close hint that the flagship smartphone would feature a dual lens camera module.
What are we to believe via the news? Prior to a couple of months, the much anticipated Xiaomi’s Mi 5X was reported to come with a dual lens camera. And with recent news, we already know that Xiaomi’s upcoming Mi Max 2 is expected to launch on September 12. From the tweet, one can clearly have a glimpse at the hashtag clearly stating “#XiaomiGlobalLaunch”. From the tweet shared by Mi team, it is evident that the unnamed Xiaomi smartphone with a dual lens camera will roll out on September 5 (“Save the date”).
If we expect the unnamed Xiaomi flagship smartphone to be none other than the Mi M5 then one may expect the device to flaunt a 5.5-inch FHD 1080p 2.5D curved glass LTPS display. The smartphone’s heart is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC paired with a RAM of 4 GB and an internal storage capacity of 64 GB, whereby fans can expand it up to 128 GB.
In the imaging language, one may expect the smartphone to roll out with a primary camera of 12 MP with an aperture of f/2.2. Whereas the secondary sensor may sport 12 MP alongside an aperture of f/2.6. The Xiaomi smartphone is also expected to flaunt a selfie shooter of 5 MP on board. It is highly speculated that the Android 7.1.1 Nougat based Mi 5X may come with MIUI 9 upgraded. Also, the upcoming device is expected to come with a powerful 3000 mAh battery.
