This new tablet will also support many domestic languages, effectively making it ideal for use in a country with many varied languages. As far as the features are concerned, this is one tablet which has a lot to offer. On board is an 8-inch IPS display that has a brightness of 500 nits. It also supports 10 point multi-touch functionality and has a display resolution of 1280 x 800; even under direct sunlight, this is one device that will be readable.

The new HP Pro 8 will support 22 Indian languages. Like we said earlier, this tablet will be primarily used to scan and use Aadhar data. Hence, it also has iris and fingerprint scanning technologies to aid in for Aadhaar-based authentication. To further aid in financial transactions, it will also have a thermal printer and a magnetic-stripe reader. Finally, to aid in inventory managements, there is also a very handy bar code scanner.

Sumeer Chandra, who is the Managing Director of HP Inc India, has stated that he believes that this tablet is ideal for outdoor use. It boasts of 15 hours of battery life while also being dust and water resistant.

The new Pro 8 tablet will run on the now-dated Android Marshmallow OS. Powering it is a quick Quad Core MediaTek 8735 processor. While it has 2GB of RAM, it has only 16BG of internal memory, which, however, is expandable to up to 64GB via the microSD slot. The 6,000mAh battery will provide ample juice while the new HP Pro 8 still rocks the 3.5mm headphone jack, which many companies have dropped. Other sensors like an accelerometer, proximity sensors, as well as an ambient light sensor are also present.
