Confirmed: Honor 7X Coming to The US on December 5

We were one of the first tech websites to confirm that the Honor 7X had been spotted on TENAA. Honor is a sub-brand of the Chinese manufacturing giant Huawei. Given that the same device is coming to India as an Amazon exclusive product in the next month, it comes as no great surprise that the Honor 7X is making its way to the USA as well. The new phone is a mid-range entry in a market already overflowing with such devices.

The Honor 7X already is en route to India too. It was first introduced, quite naturally, in the home market of China. Now that it is making its way to the US and the UK as well, we believe that the new Honor device will be a rather successful one.

Honor 7X Specs and Features

The Honor 7X has a lot of great specs and features. First and foremost, it has a full-screen design which is the flavor of the season. Apart from the full-screen design, we also appreciate the 18:9 aspect ratio on display with a size of 5.93 inches. Onboard is a Full HD+ resolution which is capable of justifying 2160 x 1080 pixels. Powering the device will be the recently developed in-house processor, the Kirin 659 chipset. Incidentally, this is the same chipset which also powers the Huawei Mate 10 Lite, which we have covered previously. The Kirin SoC is ably supported by a decent 4 GB of RAM.

The device also has 32 GB of storage and supports a microSD card slot which means extra storage will be supported. Thanks to the Android 7.0 Nougat OS and EMUI 5.1 skin on top, this is one phone which will have a great user interface. There is a dual rear camera system present: one main camera of 16-megapixel, as well as a secondary snapper of 2-megapixel, is present. Upfront is an 8-megapixel camera. We believe that the 3,340mAh capacity battery will be enough.

Honor has not yet revealed or confirmed how much the device will be, nor has it confirmed a release date. We believe that the device will be launched on the 5 of December alongside the Honor V10.  We can make some guesses, however. In its native country of China, the 32 GB, the 64 GB and the 128 GB storage variants come for, respectively, 1,299 Yuan (or ~$195), 1,699 Yuan (or ~$256) and 1,999 Yuan (or ~$301). Stay tuned for more updates.
