Xiaomi Mi 6 Now Available in New Variant With 4GB RAM and 64GB of Internal Storage

The Xiaomi Mi 6 will now be unveiled in a new variant, which will have 4GB of RAM as well as 64GB of internal storage. We have earlier covered the Xiaomi Mi 6 extensively. We had earlier reported how Xiaomi, the Chinese major, had planned to unveil a new variant with 4GB of RAM. The company has retained the essential details of the Mi 6 in the new variant as well, including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 64 bit octa-core processor which has been clocked at 2.45GHz. This will work in conjunction with the Adreno 540 GPU.

As of now, there are two main variants of the Xiaomi Mi 6 available, one with 6GB RAM alongside 64 GB of internal storage. There is also a better version with 6GB RAM as well as 128 GB of internal storage. While the first variant comes for 2,499 Yuan (which is approximately Rs 23,436), the second variant comes for 2,899 Yuan (or approximately Rs 27,172).

A cheaper Xiaomi Mi 6 is being launched

The new variant will go on sale starting November 11, in line with our predictions. This being the cheaper variant, it will come with 2,299 Yuan (a sum approximately equal to Rs 28,109).

Besides, the new variant will have near-flagship features. Onboard is a 3350mAh battery which will likely have MIUI optimisations, which is Xiaomi‘s proprietary OS. These customizations will bring about the betterment of battery life, and in the case of the Mi 6, this means a day of battery life. As far as the cameras and optics features are concerned, the Xiaomi Mi 6 has a dual camera set up which consists of two 12-megapixel rear/primary cameras. Out of these, one camera has a wide-angle lens along with a 4-axis Optical Image Stabilization or OIS; the other is a 12-megapixel telephoto camera which boasts of 2x lossless zoom.  Out front is an 8-megapixel snapper which means that the new handset will have superior selfies and video calling features.
