Micromax Launches New Budget-Range Bharat 5 Smartphone in India

With the launch of ultra-budget Jio phone, it grabbed Indian fans’ attention tremendously. This somehow triggered all the smartphone makers to push down VoLTE-enabled devices’ price tags. That is the reason why after almost 16 years in this tech industry, the company rolled out budget range smartphones under its Bharat series. Even after facing a strong competition from the Chinese electronics entities, the giant has kept launching some excellent devices under its Bharat series (one of them has been mentioned here). This isn’t anything surprising, yet to go into the depths of this news, the Indian manufacturer is all set to launch its next Bharat series model dubbed the Bharat 5 in India today in Gurugram at 12 pm IST.

Micromax Bharat 5 Set to launch Today in India

As the Indian brand’s reply to the newly launched Xiaomi Redmi 5A (Desh ka Smartphone), Micromax leaked a teaser on Thursday. Micromax has started sending out press invites which show the image of the smartphone from both rear and front panel. From the tagline ‘Witness the Power of 5’, one can expect the Bharat 5 smartphone to be backed up by a mammoth battery. Coming to the teaser, it sports a flash icon which hints at the fast charging technology. In terms of key specs, the Bharat 5 will sport physical button at the base. On top, there’s an earpiece besides the front-facing camera. On the rear panel, the device comes with a dual-camera setup aside from LED flashlight as well as the brand logo.

While we haven’t received any hardware specs until now, we hope to give you updates on this front. On the pricing front, the Bharat 5 is expected to be a cost-effective smartphone like its predecessors. Previously we have seen how Vodafone and BSNL collaborated with each other in order to launch Bharat 2 Ultra and Bharat 1 4G feature phone in the Indian markets. While the Bharat 2 Ultra comes with a price tag of Rs 999, the latter costs Rs 2,200. After launching Bharat 1, Bharat 2, Bharat 3 and Bharat 4 smartphones, the technology sector is set to get another Bharat smartphone today, for more updates stay tuned.
